In the fourth quarter of 2024, the top navigation and maps apps on iOS in Italy demonstrated varied performance in terms of downloads and active users. Here's a closer look at the trends for each app, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps remained a favorite, with weekly downloads fluctuating between 27K and 38K. Active users were consistently high, peaking at around 11M towards the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced notable growth in downloads, especially in mid-December, reaching approximately 46K. Active users showed an upward trend, crossing the 1M mark in mid-December.

Google Earth had a steady download rate, ranging from 8.5K to 11K. However, its active users saw a slight decline, ending the quarter at about 252K.

Radarbot: Speed Cameras | GPS showed a significant spike in both downloads and revenue in December. Downloads peaked at over 10K, while revenue reached nearly $2.9K by the end of the month. Active users also increased, closing at around 22K.

TomTom: GPS Maps & Traffic saw a dramatic rise in downloads in December, peaking at approximately 5.9K. Active users also grew steadily, reaching about 7.7K by the end of the quarter.
